Waitress was friendly, and the food arrived in a timely manner. All our selections were hot and tasty. Very good food.
Wow was this place darn good! We recently moved to the area and have been venturing out trying new restaurants….this will honestly be one our top go-to’s. The food is incredible…all clocked fresh, all real food…nothing seems to be brought in frozen/prepared then microwaved/deep-fried…it’s ALL FRESH AND REAL! The staff was very friendly and the cooks definitely hustle. Will definitely be going back the try the whole menu over time!
This mom and pop restraunt is really great, wonderful selection of food! I had fried pickles with a lots of flavor on the breading and a fried fish poboy & hushpuppies. Waitress was really friendly and down to earth. I definitely will be back again.

It was our first experience at GooRoo's and our 42nd Anniversary. We walked in the door, and as the amazing smell of fresh beef being seared on the grill hit my senses, I knew I was in love with this place! Our server made us feel welcomed, the meal was hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Not overseasoned, not undercooked, just perfect. The size of the hamburger steak was very generous, and they did not skimp on the mushrooms, onions, or gravy either. The smiles, the music, the atmosphere, the people- made our dinner together a fantastic memory. And then they brought dessert! The brownie! It was a hot, scrumptious, chocolate delight! It came topped with icecream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, a cherry, and melted into a a gooey bowl of happiness. It's a good thing we shared! Thank you, GooRoo's! We will be back!
We stopped by GooRoo’s in Robertsdale and were pleasantly surprised! It’s a nice, small town restaurant with a warm, welcoming vibe. We ordered the Bacon GooRoo 1/2 burger, the chicken tenders basket, and the kids’ corn dog meals. Everything tasted great, and came out quickly. The service was great. Our server was friendly and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait too long for anything. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the tenders were crispy and well-seasoned, and the kids loved their meals. Those corn dogs reminded me of the fair corn dogs. We’ll definitely keep GooRoo’s in mind the next time we’re in the area. A great place to grab a good meal in a comfortable, hometown atmosphere!

First time eater. Will be returning! Staff and atmosphere are top notch 👌 Got the 1/2 lb and 1/4 Bacon GooRoo with fries, okra and fried pickles. Burger is a smashed patty with just the right amount of seasoning and seer. Fries are crinkled with crisply outside and buttery innards. Okra was fresh, hot with a crispy coating that didn't distract from the Okra flavor. Fried pickles made to order with just the right everything. Not overly salty.
Fat boy approved 👍🏻 Pulled up to GoRoos and decided to go with the blackened catfish plate — came out looking like it meant business. That catfish was perfectly seasoned. Nice blackened crust on the outside with that smoky, spicy flavor, but still tender and flaky inside. Not dry, not greasy… just right. Sides didn’t slack either: * 🥬 Turnip greens – cooked down the right way, full of flavor, not bland at all * 🥗 Coleslaw – fresh, crisp, and balanced (not drowning in dressing) * 🟠 Those hushpuppies? Golden, crispy, and exactly what you want with fish And I gotta say— 💯 Service was on point. Friendly, quick, and made the whole experience better.
I've never had bad food here. The only reason for 4 stars on atmosphere is because it's noisy, but that means they're busy. Unfortunately, with hearing aids, it makes conversation a little more difficult. I had the Mahi tacos with onion rings. It was delicious.
